Professional photographer Eddy van Wessel won the Zilveren Camera three times. Last time was in 2019 with a photo series about IS families on the run in Syria. Photographer Eddy van Wessel (1965) works in various conflict and disaster areas. His photographs are published in international magazines such as Stern, Paris Match, LeMonde2, and The Washington Post Magazine. He won the Silver Camera 2015 for his series 'Sinjar, the battle for Highway 47'. These photos portray the fight against IS in Iraq and Syria. Eddy also won the Silver Camera in 2012. The jury of this prestigious prize calls Van Wessels work of an unprecedented level.
During his study at the Nederlandse Fotovakschool Eddy used a Zenza bronica ET-CL pro camera with different lenses. After the study he sold this set. Proof of the original ownership is a small hand written note describing the set at the moment of sale (some personal data have been removed for the photo; on the original this is still present) A special collector’s item with a history of ownership by a famous photographer.
Camera and lenses etc are in good condition, with some signs of use. There is no haze, fungus or nor scratches on the lenses.
